You only need strawberries, white chocolate, a little coconut oil and some semi-sweet chocolate for the faces.

The recipe makes 12 ghosts.

Why You’ll Love It

  • Only 4 ingredients. Strawberries, white chocolate, coconut oil and chocolate chips.
  • No baking. Just melt, dip and chill.
  • So cute. Every ghost gets its own little face.
  • Kids can help. Drawing the faces is a fun job.
  • Fresh and fruity. A lighter Halloween treat.

Ingredients You’ll Need

  • Large fresh strawberries: Washed and dried really well.
  • White chocolate chips: Or white candy melts, for the ghost coat.
  • Coconut oil: Helps the chocolate melt smooth.
  • Semi-sweet chocolate chips: Melted, for the eyes and mouths.

You’ll find the exact amounts and steps in the printable recipe card below.

How to Make It

Line a baking sheet with parchment and make sure the strawberries are completely dry. Melt the white chocolate with the coconut oil until smooth. Hold each berry by its leaves, dip it in the white chocolate, let the extra drip off, and stand it up on the parchment. Chill until set. Melt the semi-sweet chocolate and use a toothpick or small piping bag to draw two eyes and an “O” mouth on each ghost, then chill a few more minutes.

Tips for the Best Chocolate Dipped Strawberry Ghosts

  • Dry the berries. Any water will make the chocolate seize.
  • Hold the leaves. Dip each berry by its green top.
  • Let them set. Chill before you draw the faces.
  • Use a toothpick or piping bag. Either one makes tidy faces.
  • Serve the same day. The berries are freshest that way.
