Chocolate-Dipped Pretzel Broomsticks

Salty pretzel rods dipped in sweet orange coating and Halloween sprinkles with a fruit leather broom band. These disappear fast at Halloween parties!

Ingredients
  

  • 24 pretzel rods
  • 12 oz orange candy melts or white candy melts tinted orange
  • Halloween sprinkles
  • 1 sheet green apple fruit leather cut into 24 thin strips

Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Microwave-safe bowl

Method
 

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment.
  2. Melt the candy melts in the microwave in 30-second bursts, stirring until smooth.
  3. Dip the bottom third of each pretzel rod into the orange coating. Immediately roll in Halloween sprinkles.
  4. Lay flat on the parchment. While the coating is still tacky, tie a strip of fruit leather around the top edge of the dipped section as the broom band.
  5. Let set 20 minutes at room temperature.

Notes

  • Roll in sprinkles right after dipping.
  • Tie on the fruit leather band while the coating is still tacky.
