Halloween Monster Cookies

Purple and green peanut butter oatmeal cookies with candy eyeballs and candy corn pressed in. Spooky little monsters!

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup butter softened
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 1/4 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup oats
  • purple and green food coloring
  • candy eyeballs
  • 1/2 cup candy corn or Halloween sprinkles

Equipment

  • Bowls
  • Baking sheets
  • Parchment paper

Method
 

  1. Beat butters and sugars; beat in egg and vanilla.
  2. Stir in flour, soda, salt, and oats.
  3. Split the dough; tint half purple, half green.
  4. Scoop balls onto parchment-lined sheets.
  5. Bake at 350°F for 9–11 minutes. Press candy eyeballs and sprinkles into the hot cookies.

Notes

  • Press the eyeballs and candy in while the cookies are hot.
