You’ll find the exact amounts and steps in the printable recipe card below.

How to Make It

Heat the oven and line a large baking sheet with parchment. Flatten each biscuit, put a little mozzarella in the center, pinch it closed and roll it into a ball. Arrange the balls seam-down in a Christmas tree shape (rows of 1, 2, 3 and 4, then a 2-ball trunk) and use the extras as ornaments around the base. Stir the garlic and Italian seasoning into the melted butter, drizzle it over the tree, and sprinkle on the Parmesan. Bake until deep golden and cooked through, and serve it warm with marinara for dipping.

Tips for the Best Christmas Tree Pull-Apart Bread

  • Pinch them closed. Seal the dough well so the cheese stays inside.
  • Seam-side down. Place the balls seam-down on the sheet.
  • Use the extras. Extra balls make ornaments around the base.
  • Bake until deep golden. That means they’re cooked through.
  • Warm the marinara. Warm dip is so much better.
