Black Cat Oreo Cookies

Oreos dipped in black candy coating with candy eyeballs and chocolate chip ears. No-bake, kid-approved and purr-fect for spooky season!

Ingredients
  

  • 24 Oreo cookies
  • 12 oz black candy melts
  • candy eyeballs green or yellow
  • mini chocolate chips for the ears
  • thin pretzel sticks or black licorice laces for whiskers (optional)

Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Microwave-safe bowl

Method
 

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment. Melt the black candy melts in the microwave in 30-second bursts, stirring until smooth.
  2. Dip each Oreo fully in the black coating, letting the excess drip off, and lay flat on the parchment.
  3. While the coating is still wet, press 2 mini chocolate chips at the top as ears and 2 candy eyeballs in the middle as eyes. Add whiskers now if using.
  4. Let set 20 minutes at room temperature.

Notes

  • Press on the ears and eyes while the coating is still wet.
  • Whiskers are optional.
